Have you ever thought about becoming a summit producer? It’s an exciting and lucrative opportunity that is growing rapidly. If you have the right skills, it can be very profitable.
Summit producers are in demand now more than ever before as people want to learn from the experts online instead of going out in person. You can earn 5 figures or higher per event producing virtual summits for influencers and companies that are rapidly adapting to the virtual world as a result of covid-19 restrictions.
And the good news is, the trend is only going to increase as people and companies realize how easy and cost effective virtual events are compared to in-person events.
I´ve been producing virtual summits for other people and after doing several of them, I feel it´s time to teach this to other people and I´ve looked around and realized noone is teaching this.
Time to change that!
After sitting down and writing all the steps I do, I condensed it to this 3-step process, which anyone can duplicate.
If you´re a freelancer, a virtual assistant, own a digital marketing agency and or a solopreneur, this is for you.
You can easily add a six figure income producing summits and or virtual events for other people.
Here we go:
Step1: Arm yourself with the knowledge of what it takes to produce virtual summits/events for other people.
There are 3 phases to producing a summit and or virtual event for other people:
- Phase 1: Pre-summit phase
In the pre-summit phase, bulk of what you do happens here.
- Phase 2: Summit phase
During the summit live (this is when the summit goes live to the public, whether the sessions are pre-recorded, live or both), most of what you´ll do here is basically providing tech support or assistance in case something happens during the event.
Examples can be, the page is not loading, people are not able to access the sessions, they missed their logins, etc. You can also mitigate this by creating a FAQ page where you have instructions for attendees on what to do if this happens.
- Phase 3: Post-summit phase
Immediately post-summit, you´ll assist on the client´s post-summit promotion if they have one. Example, most clients will have a product or program that they want to promote to the attendees right after the summit as their next step. Your role here would be to facilitate that. Most of the work on this is done during the pre-summit, like pre-scheduling the email promotions, making sure the landing pages are up and running, webinar page is set up, sales page, etc.
And then after the post-summit promotion, you´ll then convert the summit to evergreen so that the client can continue to drive traffic and sales long after the summit is done. This becomes a new money-generating product for them!
Step 2: Find people that you can delegate some of the work, unless you want and can do all of them. Here are some of the important ones:
- Graphic designer to create graphics
- Virtual assistant who can do web pages, video editing, etc.
- Copywriter for all landing page copy, email copy, affiliate swipe copy, etc.
By the way, you can do all of these yourself using the templates we use!
Step 3: Find and sign up your first paying client.
This is the exciting part. When you have step 1 and 2 dialed in, you´re ready to sign up your first 5-figure client, and it´s not that hard to find them if you use our process of finding potential clients that you want to work with.
Here´s our process of finding profitable clients:
- Research your industry and find out who are the influencers and companies who normally do in-person events, and or digital marketing agencies who don´t provide these services to their clients.
- Reach out to them and invite them for a call. (You can model the email outreach template we use).
- Ask if they´d be interested in you producing a summit for them then, sign them up!
